Canine Conditioning Classes

Writer: Alex TourretAlex Tourret

What is Conditioning?

Canine Conditioning (or Canine Fitness) is a workout with the aid of specific exercises designed to work target muscle groups. This will improve muscle mass and strength, general fitness levels, coordination and balance. With better all round musculature dogs are less likely to injure themselves and are better prepared for their daily routine, should they be training, competing, working or just fetching balls and walking.

With the help of these specific exercises and maybe some treats and fitness equipment we can help get your dog to its best physical health and regain muscle, balance and coordination which is extremely important to the senior dogs and athletes that compete in agility or flyball.

So if you are interested in keeping your dog in peak physical condition we are running classes every other Wednesday at Sutton Valence Village Hall. There are 3 classes to choose from based on your dogs age

6-7pm is Seniors 7yrs and over

7-8pm is Adults 2yrs til 7 yrs

8-9pm is Youngsters 6 months to 2 yrs
