This is one vegetable you definitely should be sharing with your dog!

No matter what type of pet food you are feeding your dog, adding broccoli to your dogs diet is a powerful way of making a massive improvement to their health.

Several studies have now shown to have found sulforaphane in broccoli which destroys cancer cells and/or damaged cells in the dog which may lead to cancer or other serious illnesses.

Broccoli is a great vegetable for dogs with diabetes as it is high in fibre, which aids in digestion, prevents constipation, maintains low blood sugar, and curbs overeating. Along with this, broccoli is also great for weight loss or management because it is rich in fibre.

It is also an excellent source of Vitamin C with half a cup providing a human with 84% of their daily intake. Which is more than half an orange can offer! Vitamin C is known to support the immune system

The bottom line is: Broccoli is a nutrient-rich vegetable that may enhance your dogs health in a variety of ways, such as by reducing inflammation, improving blood sugar control, boosting immunity and promoting heart and brain health.

Your dog can eat it raw, steamed, roasted, boiled or even fermented!

A recommended amount would be a 1/4 teaspoon per 5kg of dogs body weight.
